Calderdale’s Moorland Badgers

Walk

15th March

10:30 am

In association with HSS

Most people tend to think of badgers as being a woodland species, but they also live on moorlands where sometimes huge badgers setts can be found. This walk will be approximately 3 miles long taking in some of our most notable moorland setts and observing field signs of badgers. Are moorland badgers subordinate to woodland badgers, having being pushed out of prime habitat? Or are they doing well by exploiting alternative food resources?

Cath Baker will lead this walk and numbers are limited to 15 people. For details of the meeting place please book by contacting Cath by email:. baker_cath@hotmail.com
