We’ll be visiting the best place in Calderdale for summer birds – Hardcastle Crags – and we’ll be hoping to see Pied Flycatchers, Spotted Flycatchers, Redstart, Willow Warblers and maybe even a Wood Warbler!
Perhaps the most famous liverwort in the county – Hutchins’ Hollywort (Jubula hutchinsiae) – is in the vicinity, first discovered by James Needham in the 1890s.
