We will meet at High Hirst Woodmeadow 10.00 am to examine the contents of moth traps, count and identify the moth species. This will be followed by a big butterfly count in the meadow. We will learn how to use a mobile phone APP for recording of Calderdale’s butterflies and day-flying moths. For those wishing to attend please email Anthony Arak who will provide instructions how to sign up and download the APP: anthony@globalgeotech.co.uk. It is recommended that attendees bring a packed brunch, but please leave your butterfly nets behind.
