Presented by John Hartshorn, Trustee and founding committee member of the Yorkshire Rewilding Network. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer, John has spent over 30 years working in the field of applied geography with specialisms in geographic information and digital mapping, biodiversity, and natural capital and ecosystem services. John lives in a small village in Nidderdale where he undertakes seasonal reptile surveys for the Nidderdale National Landscape.
John will introduce us to the Yorkshire Rewilding Network and open our eyes to some of the rewilding projects that are underway across Yorkshire. He will discuss what rewilding means in a Yorkshire context and how rewilding fits into the wider conservation spectrum.
